The Juneau Teen Health Center addresses the medical, reproductive, behavioral health, and nutritional needs of Juneau's adolescents. Clinic services include:
  • Health assessment/physical examinations: sport physicals, routine health appraisals, pre-employment physical exams, blood pressure, and hemoglobin screening
  • Medical diagnosis and treatment of minor illness and injuries: colds,  flu, sore throats, skin problems, sprains, and infections
  • Laboratory services: screening and diagnostic tests 
  • Reproductive health services: pregnancy prevention counseling, pregnancy testing, exams, prescriptions, and referrals, treatment of  menstrual problems, education, diagnosis  and treatment of  sexually-transmitted infections, prenatal care and parenting information
  • Mental health: individual, family, and group counseling, chemical dependency screening, and small group interventions
  • Wellness promotion: weight management, nutritional  concerns, safety practices, prevention of chronic diseases, personal hygiene, and self-care, skin problems 
Follow-up referrals for more serious health concerns such as chronic diseases, drug abuse, dental and vision care, and eating disorders will be made to an appropriate community provider or agency.
